The estate has a wide variety of landscapes from the fertile valley bottom with the rivers Dee and Alwen meandering through its heart, to woodlands with a network of paths, bridleways and tracks leading to stunning open moorland.

Lord Newborough has taken the decision to open up his estate in a structured fashion allowing the public to enjoy it where their activities fit with the existing social, environmental and business activities of the valley for the greater good of the estate and its surrounding community.
